Before you buy
Gift certificates: how they work
A gift certificate covers a full 160-tile custom set. Whoever gets it designs every tile, types the code in the cart, and keeps whatever is left for next time.
A gift certificate is a whole set, waiting to be designed. You buy it at snarkytiles.com/gift for the price of a set that day, and whoever gets it designs every one of the 160 tiles, with Madge, from a template, or from their own artwork, and sees the whole set at real size before we print.
What it covers
The certificate is worth the full price of the set you chose, classic white or pearl, and that set ships with the vegan saffiano carry case, the semi-precious stone dice and free US shipping, like every set. During a sale you pay the sale price and the certificate is still worth the full set.
How they use it
They design a set, put it in the cart, and type the code into the gift certificate box. The set comes off the certificate. If the set costs less than the certificate (a sale, say), whatever is left stays on the certificate for next time. If it costs more, they pay the difference. A Founder's Table or friend code still works on top.
Sales tax is worked out on the order, the way it is for any set.
Where it goes
The certificate is emailed to you the moment you pay, with the code. If you give us their name and email, we email them too, right away or on the day you pick, with your message. It also lives on your account under Gift Certificates, and on theirs once they use it, so nobody has to keep track of a piece of paper.
How long it lasts
One year from the day it is bought. We send a reminder a month before it expires. If life gets in the way and it lapses, email hello@snarkytiles.com and tell us; we would rather print the tiles.
The fine print
A gift certificate is not refundable for cash and has no cash value; it is spent on Snarky Tiles sets. If the purchase is refunded, the certificate is cancelled.
