Bring your own artwork.

You drew it. We print it. The whole table assumes you hired someone.

Already have your tile designs, from Canva, Procreate, an artist friend or a clipart pack you own? Open a blank set, upload your pictures and place each one on its tile exactly where you want it. No Studio Pass and nothing to describe to anyone: the editor is free, and you pay for the set when you order it.

What to bring: 53 pictures, one size.

  • 53

pictures: 52 faces and the back. The 6 blanks stay blank.

  • 1026 × 1554

pixels each: the printed face, at twice press resolution.

  • PNG or JPEG

    on a white background.

  • Under 4 MB

    each. Bigger prints no sharper.

That is the whole spec. The checklist lists every tile in the editor's order, so you can tick them off as you draw.Print the checklist

How it goes: four steps, and you hold the mouse.

  1. 1

    Make your 53 pictures.

One per tile, all the same size, all in one style, on a white background. Working in Canva? The Canva guide walks it page by page.

  2. 2

Export them, one file per tile.

PNG or JPEG, 1026 × 1554 pixels. Name each file for its tile if you can (1 Bam, 2 Bam, Green Dragon). Canva hands you all the pages in one ZIP.

  3. 3

Open a blank set, upload them all at once, place each one.

The editor keeps your pictures in Your uploads. Then you put each picture on its tile, exactly where you want it: a touch larger, a hair to the left, your call on every one of the 53. Nobody else's layout rules.

  4. 4

Check it at real size, then order.

Print the True Size Proof, read every tile, tick the box in your cart. We print within 10 days. Practice your modest face.

Three things a tile face asks of a picture.

  • The white border is permanent.

We cannot print the outer 1/16 inch of a tile: the edges are rounded and polished, and ink there scuffs off. A picture filled with color to its edges prints as a colored panel inside a white frame. Art on a white background looks like it belongs there.

  • Lettering is read across a table.

Dark letters on a light ground, or light on dark, with thick strokes, so a player past fifty reads it at arm’s length. Blue on blue is not lettering. It is a rumor.

  • Draw the picture, not the tile.

No drawn edge, no shadow, no bevel. The press would print a fake shadow onto a real tile, and the real one already casts its own.

Everything about your own artwork

Designing in Canva? Here is the whole trip.

The guide sets up the size, one page per tile in the checklist's order, and the one download that hands you every tile as its own file. Free Canva is enough. The screenshots are from our own account, so the buttons are where we say they are.
